Runcorn, Liverpool.
This was a really proud moment for me. It was when scratch model-maker, Ron Horabin, « handed me the keys » to HMS Iron Duke. Ron had spent almost three years building the beautiful 1/96 model. He gave me the ID after his wife, Angela, said she couldn’t find any more space in their Runcorn house and wanted Ron to see the Iron Duke be given a good home. Needless to say, the Iron Duke will take a leading role in the Cententary commemorations of 2016. It will be a tribute to a wonderful man who, sadly, is no longer with us.
